If your items don’t fit in the vehicle available to you, you can request an on-site visit, please tick the box requesting an on-site visit when submitting your Consignment Appointment.

HOW TO CONSIGN

HOW IT WORKS

 

1. COMPLETE THE FORM

Please provide us with details of the item(s) you are looking to sell with us and complete as many fields as possible. Some of these fields are required which are indicated with an (*). Please also provide images and any additional information such as associated paperwork, condition and let us know in the ‘Comments’ box below any additional information regarding the stock.

2. IMAGES

Please ensure that you attach images to the contact form. This will help us understand the type of item(s) you wish to consign with us, and identify which of our auctions your item(s) will be most suitable to be sold in, so that we can maximise the sale potential of the item(s). 

3. CONTACT

Once you have submitted the contact form, we will be in touch to discuss your item(s) in further detail and discuss a plan to get your item(s) to auction.

4. DELIVERY

Once we have spoken to you regarding the sale of your items through one of our auctions, you will be able to drop the item(s) off in person to one of our two sites:

Guildford Warehouse (Main Office):
Bedford Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4SJ
Homestead Farm:
Homestead Farm, West Flexford Lane, Flexford, Surrey, GU3 2JS

At both premises you will be able to park up on-site and unload your stock. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a member of our staff and once we have received your item(s), it will be processed for lot descriptions, photographed and then listed on our website, ready to be sold.

5. LISTING

If consigning to auction, your item will be listed on our own in-house auction platform and depending on whether your item is classified as a ‘spacialist’ item it may be entered into a sale that is also place on The-Saleroom.com, and the lot(s) will include all images of your item.

6. AUCTION

Your item will be sold live to an online audience. This involves a live audio/video feed of one of our auctioneers, so bidders will be able to both see and hear the auction, and place real-time bids as well as leave absentee bids prior to the auction commencing.

7. POST AUCTION

If your item sells, we will make payment into your account, less fees within 28 working days after the sale date by bank transfer (assuming we have received payment from the buyer).

Unsold items can be re-entered into the next sale with a reduction in the reserve price, or can be collected.
