HOW IT WORKS

 

1. COMPLETE THE FORM

Provide us with details of the item you are looking to have valued with a view to consigning, so that we can see the item clearly. Please also provide images and any additional information such as the original box, paperwork, or has any accessories as this may increase the value of the item(s).

2. IMAGES

Please ensure that you attach images to the contact form. If for any reason you are unable to take or attach the images yourself, this is no issue. We have an in-house photography service that you can use, and we will be happy to help.

3. CONTACT

Once you have submitted the contact form, we will be in touch to discuss your item(s) in further detail.

4. DELIVERY

We will be able to come and collect the item from you up to a 30 mile radius from our office in Guildford for an additional fee (dependant on item value). Alternatively you can drop the item(s) off in person to our main office in Bedford Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4SJ as well as post the item to us if you are happy to do so. Once we have received the item(s), it will be inspected by one of our in-house experts before they are listed on our website.

5. LISTING

If consigning to auction, your item will be listed on our own in-house auction platform as well as on The-Saleroom.com, and the lot will include all images of your item.

6. AUCTION

Your item will be sold live to an online audience. This involves a live audio/video feed of one of our auctioneers, so bidders will be able to both see and hear the auction, and place real-time bids as well as leave absentee bids prior to the auction commencing.

7. POST AUCTION

If your item sells, we will make payment into your account, less fees within 20 working days after the sale date by bank transfer (assuming we have received payment from the buyer).

Unsold items can be re-entered into the next sale with a reduction in the reserve price (if it had one), or can be collected.
