Coming to work this morning was like stepping back in time. Thanks to the August Bank Holiday we moved our Monday Auction back to Tuesday for this week only. Today, our saleroom was packed with well over 3,000 lots ranging from lost and unclaimed parcels & property through to retail customer returns and self storage unit clearances. For many years Tuesday was General Auction day at Wellers. When Wellers ran the livestock market in Guildford, Tuesdays were the only day when nothing else happened, so never wanting a quiet life Glen Snelgar began the Tuesday Auction. Fast forward about 35 years and here we are today, still bringing down the gavel for hour after hour and not leaving until everything is sold.
