Caring at the Commons

Investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre was the special guest speaker at a Fundraising House of Commons dinner for the Surrey Care Trust, a charity that helps local people overcome disadvantages and transform their lives.

Hosted by Jeremy Hunt, the MP for South West Surrey, the Milford-based charity, which works accross Surrey, expects to have raised £10,000 from the dinner to help provide new oppertunities through innovation, education and training courses.

"The work done by the Surrey Care Trust is a shining example of how you can transform people's lives," Jeremy Hunt told the guests at the black tie dinner in the Members' dining room.
